The voice activated command feature allows you keep both hands on the wheel and that’s a good thing. Trust me, I’ve seen the way you drive and you can use all the help you can get!

 Things to keep in mind

  • The map update process is very easy but likely to take a while, especially on a slow Internet connection and PC.
  • If you’re using the traffic information and have the traffic avoidance enabled you can get some really odd routes.
  • Lots on menus to search through for a feature you want to change but well organized.
  • Garmin place pop up advertising on the maps while the ‘traffic feature’ is turned on.
  • Adds are not overly intrusive and not there when you are moving or using the menus. It’s a way Garmin can recoup the costs involved providing the free lifetime map and trafic updates.
